Greetings;

I just received an e-mail from a customer saying that the padded envelope
arrived but the 2 books didn't. inside was only a note of apology from the
post office in the nearest city. My customer is out $50 and 2 of my books
didn't arrive at their intended destination. What can I do to receive
compensation for this theft?

Sincerely,

I'm unfamiliar with the Canadian postal system. Here in the U.S.,
unless the package is insured or otherwise certified, you're out of
luck. Sorry, but it appears you're the one out $50.00 and 2 books.
Apologize to the customer and send out replacements ASAP.
